Insight Global is looking for a Network Security Administrator to join a leading legal services client in Vancouver. This individual will be responsible for supporting and securing the firm's enterprise infrastructure, including networking, servers, storage, backups, cloud services, and security operations. Working closely with the Director of IT, internal technology teams, and external vendors, this person will play a key role in maintaining system reliability, responding to security incidents, and supporting ongoing infrastructure and modernization projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Administer and support enterprise network, server, storage, backup, and security environments.
- Monitor infrastructure health, network performance, security alerts, and backup operations.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents, including alerts from tools such as Sophos MDR, Darktrace, Microsoft Defender, and email security platforms.
- Manage firewalls, switches, wireless networks, VPNs, remote access solutions, MFA, and access controls.
- Support Microsoft-based infrastructure, including Azure, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and endpoint management platforms.
- Administer and maintain Veeam backup and recovery environments, including restore testing and cloud/offsite integrations.
- Participate in infrastructure projects involving servers, virtualization, storage, cloud technologies, and data center environments.
- Support litigation and eDiscovery platforms, including Relativity-related networking, access management, and secure data transfers.
- Collaborate with vendors and managed service providers to troubleshoot escalated issues and deliver infrastructure enhancements.
- Contribute to disaster recovery, business continuity, system hardening, documentation, and security awareness initiatives.
- Provide escalation support to the service desk and participate in occasional after-hours support activities.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, networking, security, servers, storage, and cloud technologies.
- Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, wireless networking, and troubleshooting.
- Experience administering firewalls, endpoint security tools, email security solutions, MFA, and identity/access management.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies including Azure, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and endpoint management tools.
- Experience supporting security operations, incident response, vulnerability remediation, and security monitoring.
- Experience with Veeam or similar backup and recovery platforms.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies, server hardware, storage platforms, and disaster recovery concepts.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
