Senior Product Designer – Healthcare Platforms & AI

Digital Health | Product Design | Full-Time

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer with strong healthcare experience to design AI-powered digital experiences for patients, healthcare providers, and healthcare organizations.

This role sits at the intersection of healthcare, product design, rapid prototyping, AI, and platform design. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, healthcare stakeholders, and external partners to translate complex healthcare workflows and patient journeys into intuitive product experiences.

You’ll initially focus on developing high-fidelity concepts, prototypes, and demonstrations, while also helping shape scalable platform capabilities for healthcare organizations.

What You’ll Do

Healthcare Product Design & Prototyping

• Translate complex patient journeys, clinical workflows, and healthcare requirements into intuitive product experiences.
• Create high-fidelity prototypes, interactive demonstrations, product walkthroughs, animations, and videos.
• Rapidly prototype and iterate using Figma, Replit, Jitter, and AI-assisted design/development tools.
• Work directly with healthcare stakeholders to understand workflows, challenges, and opportunities.

AI-Powered Healthcare Experiences

• Design experiences involving conversational AI, intelligent assistants, automation, and emerging AI capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to simplify clinical and administrative workflows.
• Design provider-facing tools that integrate naturally with existing healthcare environments and clinical systems.
• Ensure AI-generated information and recommendations are understandable, trustworthy, transparent, and easy to oversee.

Healthcare Platforms

• Design connected experiences across patients, healthcare providers, and healthcare organizations.
• Support environments such as hospitals, primary care clinics, and pharmacies.
• Design enterprise capabilities including administrative dashboards, user management, configuration, organizational settings, and workflow management.
• Apply systems thinking across complex, multi-user and multi-organization products.
• Help translate healthcare use cases into reusable and scalable platform capabilities.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong product design experience with a portfolio demonstrating visual design, interaction design, and product thinking.
• Hands-on experience designing digital products for healthcare organizations.
• Strong understanding of patient journeys, hospital environments, care delivery, and clinical workflows.
• Knowledge of the healthcare technology ecosystem, including:
• EMRs / EHRs
• Hospital information systems
• Practice management systems
• Patient scheduling platforms
• Clinical workflows and healthcare integrations
• Experience designing complex digital platforms, enterprise applications, B2B SaaS products, or multi-user products.
• Advanced Figma skills, including high-fidelity UI, interaction design, and prototyping.
• Ability to turn ambiguous healthcare problems into product concepts and functional prototypes.
• Strong systems thinking and product storytelling.
• Experience collaborating directly with clinicians, healthcare organizations, technical teams, and external partners.
• Comfortable working in fast-moving environments with evolving product requirements.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing products specifically for clinicians, hospital staff, or healthcare administrators.
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability, EHR integrations, or clinical decision support.
• Experience with conversational AI, generative AI, agentic workflows, or AI-assisted productivity tools.
• Experience with B2B SaaS, multi-tenant platforms, admin interfaces, or configurable workflow products.
• Experience building functional prototypes using Replit, code, or AI development tools.
• Experience with Jitter, animations, product walkthroughs, or demo videos.
• Experience designing human-in-the-loop AI experiences, including transparency, oversight, and safeguards.
• Experience with design systems and scalable design patterns.

Ideal Candidate

A Senior Product Designer who genuinely understands healthcare, not simply a general product designer who has occasionally worked on healthcare projects. The strongest candidate will combine:

Healthcare domain expertise + Product/UI/UX design + Figma/prototyping + AI experience + complex platform/B2B SaaS design.

They should understand clinical workflows, patient journeys, EMR/EHR environments, and healthcare organizations, while being capable of quickly translating those complexities into polished, intuitive product experiences.
