JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking a Project Engineer to support the design and execution of engineering projects within the nuclear and regulated industrial sectors. This role requires a licensed Electrical Engineer who can provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle while supporting project execution, customer communication, commissioning, and multidisciplinary engineering coordination. The successful candidate will serve as both an Electrical Engineer and Project Engineer, acting as a technical authority for electrical deliverables while helping drive projects from concept through commissioning and closeout. This individual will work closely with customers, project managers, vendors, and engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable engineering and quality requirements.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Ontario P.Eng. in Electrical Engineering
- 8+ years of engineering experience
- Experience within electrical engineering design and project execution
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and stamping electrical engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical packages
- Experience developing and reviewing:
- Electrical schematics
- Control panel drawings
- Power distribution systems
- Instrumentation drawings
- Electrical calculations
- Engineering specifications
- Experience supporting commissioning, installation, testing, and startup activities
- Experience coordinating engineering deliverables across multidisciplinary teams
- Customer-facing engineering experience
- Experience acting as a technical liaison between customers, vendors, project managers, and engineering teams
- Experience supporting engineering change packages, technical reviews, and project execution activities
- Strong technical problem-solving skills
