JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Civil Construction to join one of our general contracting clients in a net new position located in the Vancouver area on site 5 days per week.
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of complex civil and municipal infrastructure projects, including water/wastewater infrastructure, bridges, and related heavy civil construction. This individual will manage projects from pre-construction and planning through execution, turnover, and closeout.
The ideal candidate comes directly from a General Contractor and has experience managing civil construction projects involving multiple subcontractors, consultants, owners, and field teams.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of Project Management experience in construction
- Experience working directly for a General Contractor.
- Direct water/wastewater construction experience.
- Strong communication and client-facing capabilities.
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience on complex municipal infrastructure projects in British Columbia.
- Experience working with municipalities and other public-sector owners.
- P.Eng., PMP, Gold Seal, or similar professional designation.
