QA Automation Engineer
Contract: 6 months + extension
Hybrid: 1x per week
Rate: $35-43/hr
Required Skills & Experience
4+ years of test automation / web automation experience
Hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Robot Framework
Experience with Selenium
Strong Java experience
Experience creating, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts
Experience troubleshooting automation failures and identifying defects
Strong understanding of QA and testing best practices
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience working with both Playwright and Robot Framework
API testing experience
CI/CD pipeline experience
Experience building or enhancing automation frameworks
Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to support the design, development, and execution of automated testing solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong web and test automation experience and hands-on experience working with modern automation frameworks.
Key Responsibilities include the below:
Develop and maintain automated test scripts
Build automation using Playwright and/or Robot Framework
Support existing Selenium and Java-based automation
Execute automated regression testing
Identify, document, and troubleshoot defects
Maintain and improve existing automation suites
Work closely with QA, development, and business teams to ensure testing coverage

Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and regression tests using Playwright, Robot Framework, and existing Selenium- and Java-based automation. Troubleshoot automation failures, identify and document defects, improve automation suites, and collaborate with QA, development, and business teams to ensure test coverage.
Requirements
Requires at least four years of test or web automation experience, hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Robot Framework, experience with Selenium, and strong Java skills. Candidates should be experienced in creating and maintaining automated tests, troubleshooting failures, identifying defects, and applying QA best practices; API testing, CI/CD, and automation framework development are advantageous.
