Job Description
Insight Global is hiring for a SAS/Python Developer on a 12-month contract. This individual will join a team focused on modernizing existing SAS-based processes and supporting the transition of legacy code into Python-based solutions. The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time developing and converting SAS code, including data steps, macros, and SAS SQL, into scalable Python solutions while leveraging tools such as Anaconda and GitHub Copilot.
This is a highly technical, hands-on role requiring strong coding expertise and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight. Approximately 80% of the position will be dedicated to development work, including code conversion, enhancement, and optimization activities. The remaining responsibilities will include providing status updates to stakeholders, maintaining proper technical documentation, and assisting with development environment, server connectivity, and related engineering support activities.
The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who can clearly explain their technical approach, work effectively within established development standards, and contribute to ongoing modernization efforts through high-quality coding practices and thorough documentation. This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring onsite attendance two days per week.
