Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in data science, applied machine learning, predictive analytics, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience developing predictive models, forecasting solutions, and trend-analysis capabilities using real-world business data.
- Advanced Python and SQL skills.
- Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning, feature engineering, model validation, and experimentation techniques.
- Experience independently exploring complex datasets and determining the data sources and features needed to solve ambiguous business problems.
- Demonstrated ability to translate analytical findings into business recommendations and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Experience partnering across data engineering, analytics/BI, and business teams.
- Ability to operate independently and take ownership in an evolving environment where the data science function is still being built.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery.
- Familiarity with Looker/LookML or modern semantic-layer and BI environments.
- Experience with consumer products, retail, CPG, merchandising, demand forecasting, pricing, or product analytics.
- Experience working with POS, sales, product, customer, or market data.
- Exposure to production ML practices, model monitoring, data governance, and responsible AI.
- Experience helping establish or scale a data science capability within an organization.
Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to help build out a data science capability and turn enterprise data into proactive, actionable business insights. This will be a highly autonomous role for someone who can identify the right data assets, develop predictive and trend-based solutions, and translate findings into meaningful recommendations for commercial stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on data science skills with business acumen and is comfortable owning initiatives from problem definition and data discovery through modeling, validation, and communication of results.
