Senior Front-End Developer | Angular

About the Role

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Front-End Developer to join a leading financial services organization within its Global Asset Management technology team.

This individual will support a major front-end modernization initiative across a portfolio of Angular applications. The team is looking to reduce dependencies on legacy third-party templates, modernize its Angular architecture, and create a reusable internal component library that can be leveraged across multiple applications.

This is a highly hands-on role that combines Angular development, component library/design system engineering, application modernization, and migration planning. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence front-end technology decisions and establish development standards that will be used across 10+ applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess existing Metronic usage across Angular applications and identify shared template functionality versus application-specific customization
• Design and develop a reusable, internally owned Angular component library/app shell for common navigation, layouts, and theming
• Create a scalable approach for packaging, versioning, and distributing shared components across multiple applications
• Help define and execute the strategy for reducing direct dependency on Metronic
• Support major Angular version upgrades and migrations
• Evaluate and support UI modernization from Bootstrap toward Tailwind CSS where appropriate
• Replace legacy jQuery and DOM-manipulation patterns with modern, component-driven Angular solutions
• Develop reusable components and establish consistent front-end development standards
• Collaborate with other application teams to coordinate phased migrations with minimal disruption to production applications
• Establish tooling for component documentation, visual regression testing, versioning, and release management
• Partner with design teams to maintain consistent branding, navigation, layouts, light/dark themes, and overall user experience
• Develop migration documentation and provide technical guidance to development teams adopting the new shared library
• Contribute to technical decisions surrounding the organization's broader front-end modernization strategy

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Angular development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Angular upgrades and major-version migrations
• Experience building reusable Angular component libraries, shared UI frameworks, or enterprise design systems
• Strong experience with Bootstrap 5
• Practical experience with Tailwind CSS, ideally including UI or CSS framework migrations
• Experience modernizing applications that rely on third-party UI templates or frameworks such as Metronic, AdminLTE, CoreUI, or similar
• Strong understanding of modern Angular architecture, including component-driven and reactive development approaches
• Experience replacing jQuery or legacy DOM-manipulation patterns within Angular applications
• Experience packaging, versioning, and distributing internal libraries using tools such as npm, Azure Artifacts, or GitHub Packages
• Experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions for CI/CD
• Understanding of phased modernization strategies that allow multiple production applications to migrate without a big-bang rewrite
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple development and stakeholder groups
