Insight Global is seeking a Senior Infrastructure, Network & Operations Engineer to support our client following a recent acquisition. This hands-on role will focus on stabilizing, supporting, and modernizing a complex hybrid infrastructure environment while navigating a TSA separation and infrastructure transition. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded infrastructure engineer with experience spanning data centers, networking, servers, storage, disaster recovery, and legacy enterprise environments. This person will play a key role in operational continuity, knowledge transfer, modernization initiatives, and future cloud adoption efforts.
Responsibilities
Support TSA separation activities and infrastructure transition initiatives.
Manage and maintain enterprise data center infrastructure, ensuring reliability and performance.
Administer AIX, Unix/Linux, Windows, IBM Power, and VMware environments.
Support networking technologies including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, routing, load balancing, and hybrid connectivity.
Manage storage, backups, disaster recovery, monitoring, and capacity planning.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate resolutions.
Execute infrastructure upgrades, maintenance, and changes following established processes.
Partner with cloud, database, middleware, and security teams on operational and modernization efforts.
Work with vendors and stakeholders to maintain infrastructure stability.
Maintain documentation, support knowledge transfer, and assist with migration planning.
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure operations experience.
Hands-on experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, data centers, and hybrid environments.
Strong administration experience with AIX, Unix/Linux, Windows, IBM Power, and VMware.
Solid networking knowledge including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, routing, and connectivity troubleshooting.
Experience with storage, backups, disaster recovery, and infrastructure monitoring.
Strong troubleshooting skills across servers, operating systems, networking, and platform services.
Experience with change management, incident response, and technical documentation.
Excellent communication, vendor management, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Must be based in Ontario and able to work onsite as needed, especially during the initial engagement.
