JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is hiring a Senior Structural Engineer for an initial 12-month contract with potential for extension. This individual will support an owner-side engineering and project team on a major greenfield mining development. The Senior Structural Engineer will act as an owner-side technical reviewer, evaluating structural engineering deliverables produced by Engineering Service Providers, EPC/EPCM firms, consultants, and vendors. Responsibilities include reviewing structural drawings, engineering calculations, specifications, and technical packages against project requirements, design criteria, applicable codes and standards, and multidisciplinary interfaces.
This individual will identify technical deficiencies, provide comments and redlines, challenge engineering providers where required, and drive issues through resolution so engineering packages can progress toward construction and execution. This is specifically a structural engineering position rather than a general civil engineering role and requires the technical depth to independently assess structural calculations and engineered structures. Travel may be required depending on project needs. The successful candidate must hold a P.Eng. designation in the province where they will be stationed.

- Strong understanding of applicable structural engineering codes, standards, loading requirements, and design criteria
- Experience coordinating structural interfaces with other engineering disciplines
