Required Skills & Experience
- 8 years of software test experience in both automated and manual environments
- Experience testing complex, distributed systems and network related components
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems (embedded system not required)
- Network management related experience - understanding of the OSI model and TCP/IP networking, including TCP, UDP, IP, routing protocols, and network optimization
- Network protocol experience such as IP networks, VLANs, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS), and network security policies
- Experience with Kafka to inject test events or messages
- Experience using AI for code support including Codex, Claude, and/or equivalent
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience implementing and managing NETCONF and gNMI/gNMIc for automated network device configuration and management
- Familiarity with developing and maintaining YANG data models
- Knowledge of gNOI for network operations, diagnostics, and state validation
- Experience working with REST APIs and automated network configuration and validation workflows
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of the applications and systems used to control and manage the Telesat LEO constellation
- Develop, review, execute, and maintain test cases to validate system functionality, with test results documented and tracked in Zephyr
- Identify, characterize, document, and report product defects using Jira
- Collaborate with software development and engineering teams to investigate defects, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions
- Validate that products meet technical, functional, performance, and business requirements
- Perform network testing and troubleshooting to assess system reliability, performance, and interoperability
- Analyze test results, identify performance issues, and provide clear technical documentation and recommendations
