Required Skills & Experience

8 years of software test experience in both automated and manual environments
Experience testing complex, distributed systems and network related components
Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems (embedded system not required)
Network management related experience - understanding of the OSI model and TCP/IP networking, including TCP, UDP, IP, routing protocols, and network optimization
Network protocol experience such as IP networks, VLANs, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS), and network security policies
Experience with Kafka to inject test events or messages
Experience using AI for code support including Codex, Claude, and/or equivalent

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience implementing and managing NETCONF and gNMI/gNMIc for automated network device configuration and management
Familiarity with developing and maintaining YANG data models
Knowledge of gNOI for network operations, diagnostics, and state validation
Experience working with REST APIs and automated network configuration and validation workflows

Key Responsibilities

Develop a deep understanding of the applications and systems used to control and manage the Telesat LEO constellation
Develop, review, execute, and maintain test cases to validate system functionality, with test results documented and tracked in Zephyr
Identify, characterize, document, and report product defects using Jira
Collaborate with software development and engineering teams to investigate defects, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions
Validate that products meet technical, functional, performance, and business requirements
Perform network testing and troubleshooting to assess system reliability, performance, and interoperability
Analyze test results, identify performance issues, and provide clear technical documentation and recommendations
