Supplier Quality Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION

Insight Global is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to support supplier quality and production approval activities within the aerospace industry. This role is responsible for reviewing, validating, and approving Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions from suppliers to ensure all quality requirements are met before production parts are approved for use. You will act as the primary liaison between suppliers, manufacturing engineering, quality teams, and customers throughout the PPAP process.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and assess supplier PPAP packages to verify compliance with aerospace quality standards and customer requirements.

• Collaborate with suppliers to obtain, evaluate, and approve required PPAP documentation and evidence.

• Analyze key quality elements including:

Process Flow Diagrams

Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)

Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Process Capability Studies (CpK)

Measurement System Analysis (MSA)

First Article Inspection (FAI)

Control Plans and other PPAP documentation

• Communicate directly with suppliers to resolve quality concerns, documentation gaps, and approval issues.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

• 1-5 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, supplier quality, or aerospace engineering environments.

• Strong understanding of PPAP methodologies and quality tools, including:

○ PFMEA

○ SPC

○ CpK/Capability Analysis

○ MSA

○ FAI

• Experience reviewing technical documentation, engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• French is considered an asset

• Aerospace manufacturing or supplier quality experience.

Compensation:

$26/hr to $35/hr
