Technical Project Manager

13 month contract + extensions

Hybrid 3x per week in Brampton

Pay: $50-60/hr incorp max

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of Project Management experience, ideally within fast-paced, complex environments involving multiple stakeholders.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
• Ability to provide concrete examples of effective team collaboration and cross-functional leadership.
• Preference for candidates with stable career progression and demonstrated tenure in prior roles.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience working directly with developers and software engineers.
• Technical project/delivery management experience within Agile environments, including strong Scrum practices and sprint refinement.
• Advanced experience using Jira and Confluence.
• Proven experience managing backlogs, sprints, roadmaps, risks, and dependencies.
• Experience coordinating multiple concurrent technical workstreams.
• Technical enough to participate in and understand engineering discussions, while not being responsible for architecture or technical design decisions.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex technology initiatives across analytics, data engineering, software engineering, and product teams. This individual will own project planning, sprint execution, timelines, risks, dependencies, and overall delivery while partnering closely with Product Owners, Technical Leads, and engineering teams. The ideal candidate brings strong Agile delivery experience, expertise with Jira and Confluence, and the ability to effectively coordinate multiple technical workstreams, communicate project status to stakeholders, and drive predictable, high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical projects spanning analytics, data engineering, software engineering, and product
• Own project plans, sprint execution, timelines, dependencies, risks, blockers, and overall delivery
• Partner closely with the Product Owner and Technical Lead
• Run Agile ceremonies and maintain organization within Jira and Confluence
• Ensure requirements and stories are ready before engineers begin development
• Coordinate across multiple engineering and data teams
• Track whether projects and sprint commitments are on track, at risk, or blocked
• Communicate delivery status, risks, and changes to leadership
• Help coordinate production releases and deployments
• Use delivery metrics to improve planning and predictability
