Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a UAT Lead to join a leading financial services organization supporting a large-scale, multi-year Finance and data transformation program.
This individual will own the end-to-end UAT strategy, planning, governance, and business readiness across a highly complex environment involving numerous upstream source systems, cloud-based data and processing platforms, downstream applications, reporting tools, and Finance stakeholders.
The program is modernizing core management reporting processes and migrating data acquisition, sourcing, and transformations from legacy on-premise environments to a cloud-based solution. The broader ecosystem includes hundreds of data sources, significant transformation logic, modern reporting and analytics capabilities, and a large downstream user base that relies on the data for reporting, decision-making, and pricing.
This is a UAT leadership role rather than a QA/test execution role. The successful candidate will bring significant experience independently leading UAT for large enterprise programs, managing complexity across upstream and downstream dependencies, and partnering directly with senior business and technology stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own the overall UAT strategy, scope, operating model, governance, test plan, and entry/exit criteria across multiple releases and end-to-end testing cycles.
- Establish the UAT approach early in the transformation, ensuring the program is prepared for future testing phases as development progresses.
- Coordinate UAT across Finance SMEs, Technology, QA, upstream data providers, downstream applications, Analytics, Risk, Controllers, Treasury, and other business stakeholders.
- Ensure comprehensive end-to-end testing coverage across data flows, integrations, business processes, transformations, reporting, reconciliations, and downstream impacts.
- Manage dependencies across a highly complex data ecosystem with numerous source systems and downstream consumers.
- Identify testing risks, business-coverage gaps, environment constraints, data-readiness concerns, and cross-release dependencies.
- Lead defect triage and escalation, including differentiating true defects from data, requirements, design, environment, and business-process issues.
- Challenge test results and remediation decisions from a business and Finance perspective rather than simply administering the testing process.
- Provide consolidated UAT status, risk, defect, and readiness reporting to senior program and Finance stakeholders.
- Drive business decisions, residual-risk acceptance, and formal sign-off with accountable business owners.
- Assess overall business readiness and provide clear recommendations supporting deployment decisions.
