Company Description For 50 years, InsureCPA has been helping CPAs protect what matters most. As a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the CPA profession, we provide insurance and benefits solutions designed around the needs of CPAs, CPA candidates, their families, and their firms.

From the early stages of a CPA career through to firm ownership, we’re there with solutions that help protect our members’ health, financial well-being, families, and businesses.

Our team understands the unique demands of the CPA profession and takes a personal, advice-driven approach to insurance and group employee benefits. At InsureCPA, you’ll join a team that values integrity, strong relationships, exceptional service, and a genuine commitment to the CPA community.

Role Description As an Account Executive – Group Employee Benefits, you’ll play an important role in building and maintaining strong relationships with our CPA firm clients. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Edmonton, Alberta.

You’ll be focused on building new relationships with CPA firms across Western Canada, creating opportunities through proactive outreach, referrals, industry events, and centres of influence. You’ll connect with firm owners and decision-makers to understand their needs, introduce InsureCPA’s group benefits offering, and help prospective clients determine whether our solutions are the right fit for their firm and employees.

You’ll work closely with our internal team to move opportunities through the sales process, from the first conversation through to welcoming a new firm to InsureCPA.

This is a relationship-driven sales role for someone who enjoys meeting new people, opening doors, building trust, and turning conversations into long-term client relationships. You’ll have the opportunity to help grow an established benefits business while expanding InsureCPA’s reach within the CPA community.

Qualifications We’re looking for someone who is comfortable building relationships, starting conversations, and creating new opportunities. You don’t need to check every box, but the following experience and qualities will help you succeed in this role:

  • Experience in group employee benefits
  • A proven ability to build relationships, develop new business, and confidently connect with business owners and decision-makers.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain solutions clearly.
  • A proactive mindset and comfort with prospecting, networking, attending industry events, developing referral relationships, and creating new opportunities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and keep momentum throughout the sales process.
  • Comfortable working with CRM and other business productivity tools to manage opportunities, activities, and follow-up.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian group benefits market.
  • Valid Life and Accident & Sickness License
  • Industry designations such as CEBS, or GBA are considered an advantage.
  • A collaborative approach and a high level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
