Oracle Technical Analyst

We are looking for an Oracle Technical Analyst for a 12-month contract position, with possible extensions in Calgary, Alberta. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Position is available as hybrid Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) technical development and application support services.
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Oracle EBS customizations, reports, interfaces, workflows, and integrations.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• Support ongoing modernization, optimization, and sustainment of Oracle EBS 12.2.10 running on Oracle Database 19c and Solaris SPARC infrastructure.
• Work closely with functional analysts, business stakeholders, vendors, and application support teams to deliver enhancements and resolve production issues.
• Perform code reviews, technical assessments, root cause analysis, and application performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Participate in application patching, testing, deployment, and release management activities.
• Support integrations between Oracle EBS financial modules and other enterprise applications.
• Provide operational support, troubleshooting, and incident resolution for mission-critical financial systems.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible Oracle EBS technical development experience.
• Experience supporting Oracle EBS 12.2.x environments, Oracle Database 19c, and enterprise financial applications is considered a strong asset.
• Extensive experience with Oracle Forms and Reports development and customization.
• Strong experience developing and supporting BI Publisher (XML Publisher) reports.
• Experience developing and maintaining Concurrent Programs.
• Experience developing and customizing Oracle Application Framework (OAF) components.
• Experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting Oracle Workflow solutions.
• Experience implementing EBS personalization, extensions, and custom integrations.
• Advances knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Extensive experience developing Packages, Procedures, Functions and Triggers.
• Strong understanding of Oracle database design principles and data modeling.
• Experience troubleshooting and optimizing database performance.
• Strong understanding of one or more of the following Oracle EBS modules: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Management (CE)
• Strong understanding of financial business processes and cross-module integrations.
• Ability to work effectively wit functional analysts and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ability to work with business and guide them on business process development in some cases.
• Working knowledge of Solaris SPARC environments and supporting enterprise Oracle applications on Solaris infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Solaris administration, monitoring and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Experience developing shell scripts using ksh and/ or bash for automation and operation support
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Experience working in complex enterprise environments supporting mission-critical applications.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business users, vendors, and external support providers.
