Original job description

We are looking for an experienced Organizational Change Manager for a 6-month contract with possible extensions, in Regina, Saskatchewan. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

This position is 100% onsite in Regina, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Hybrid or remote work arrangements will not be considered.

Role Description

Our client has adopted the Prosci/ADKAR methodology for Organizational Change Management (OCM) and recognizes change management as a critical component of project success. They are looking for an experienced Organizational Change Manager to support the people side of change on select business initiatives and IT projects. The Organizational Change Manager will use their experience and expertise to create and deliver OCM work products in alignment with Prosci/ADKAR methodology and best practices. Deliverables will be prepared for review by the project team, project manager, and/or business lead, and deployed through the sponsor assigned to each project. This role functionally reports to the Project Manager for the project.

Responsibilities

Prepare for change by working with the project team, through the assigned Project Manager and/or Business Lead, to understand the project and assess the magnitude of change from the current state to post-implementation
Maintain project documentation related to organizational change management activities, in line with the client's project standards and guidance
Follow the Prosci/ADKAR methodology and the client's internal change management standards to deliver OCM for assigned projects and initiatives
Facilitate discussions to identify stakeholders and understand the impacts of the change
Identify a set of actionable, targeted OCM activities and efforts to be included in the overall project plan
Develop the required OCM deliverables, including but not limited to the Change Management Strategy, Change Management Plan, communication plan, sponsor engagement and reports, training plan, reinforcement plan, and resistance management plan
Conduct readiness assessments, evaluate results, identify risks, issues, and anticipated points of resistance, and make recommendations as necessary
Work both independently and collaboratively with team members as required

Required Skills and Experience

Formal training in Change Management, with Prosci/ADKAR Certification (required)
Proven experience delivering organizational change management content to support OCM projects on an enterprise-wide scale
Demonstrated experience creating OCM work products and deliverables for project teams, project managers, business leads, and sponsors
Ability to provide examples of past OCM initiatives, including your role, responsibilities, and deliverables
Experience working within a project delivery structure and reporting to a Project Manager

Desired Skills and Experience

Experience in the energy or utilities sector is an asset
Knowledge of Change Management frameworks is an asset
Experience leading Change Management on IT projects, with knowledge of IT systems and digital transformation projects to understand technical impacts on users, is an asset
Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to align change initiatives with project timelines is an asset
Experience maintaining project documentation related to all change management activities is an asset
Experience facilitating discussions to identify stakeholders and understand the impacts of change is an asset
Experience delivering a Change Management Strategy and Change Management Plan, including a communication plan, sponsor reports, training plan, and resistance management plans, is an asset
Experience conducting readiness assessments, evaluating results, identifying risks, issues, and anticipated points of resistance, and making recommendations is an asset
Experience working both independently and collaboratively with team members is an asset
Experience in knowledge sharing to support the progressive improvement of change management standards is an asset
North American work experience is an asset
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to prepare and deliver updates, training, and workshops are an asset
