Original job description

Coordinator, Lender Insurance Advisory (LIS)

Location: Toronto, ON | Hybrid

Company: INTECH Risk Management

This posting is for one existing vacancy.

Salary: $50,000-$60,000

About INTECH

INTECH Risk Management is an independent insurance and risk advisory firm that helps clients navigate the insurance requirements behind commercial real estate and infrastructure transactions. We work with lenders, borrowers, and their professional teams to review coverage, identify gaps, and provide clear, practical advice.

Our Lender Insurance Services (LIS) team helps lenders protect their interests throughout the life of a loan, from the initial transaction through ongoing insurance renewals. We’re looking for an experienced insurance professional to join the team as a Coordinator, bringing strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to keeping files moving.

The opportunity

As Coordinator, you will play a central role in the day-to-day management of lender insurance files, from organizing documentation for closing to tracking renewals throughout the life of a loan.

This is a hands-on role requiring insurance knowledge, sound judgment, and strong follow-through. Working closely with our Consultants, you will review documentation, coordinate with brokers, maintain accurate records, and ensure outstanding requirements receive timely attention.

Your work will give the team and our clients a clear picture of what is complete, what remains outstanding, and where further review is needed.

What you’ll do

Review insurance documentation

Review Certificates of Insurance and supporting documentation against lender insurance requirements.
Examine endorsements, exclusions, and coverage details to identify missing information or potential discrepancies.
Follow up with insurance brokers to obtain clarification, updated documents, and outstanding requirements.
Flag complex coverage questions and unresolved issues to the appropriate Consultant for assessment.

Keep files accurate and moving

Coordinate insurance renewal tracking across an assigned portfolio of loans.
Maintain accurate, current records in INTECH’s databases and tracking systems.
Monitor expiry dates, follow-up timelines, and outstanding items, prioritizing work around transaction and renewal deadlines.
Prepare organized, complete closing packages for Consultant review.
Maintain clear file notes so that documentation, correspondence, and next steps are easy to follow.

Build effective working relationships

Communicate documentation requirements and file updates clearly and professionally to brokers, lenders, and legal counsel.
Provide timely status reports on renewals, outstanding requirements, and issues requiring attention.
Work closely with Consultants and colleagues to resolve delays and maintain consistent service.
Identify opportunities to improve tracking, documentation, and coordination processes.

What you bring

Three to five years of insurance industry experience, with a focus on property and casualty or commercial insurance.
Experience reviewing insurance certificates, policy documentation, endorsements, and exclusions.
Strong attention to detail and the judgment to recognize when an issue needs further review.
The ability to manage a high volume of files, competing deadlines, and ongoing follow-ups.
Clear, professional communication skills and confidence following up on outstanding requirements.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with databases, CRMs, and document management systems.
An independent, organized approach, paired with a willingness to collaborate and ask questions.

Experience with lender insurance requirements, commercial real estate, or infrastructure transactions would be an asset.

Why INTECH

INTECH offers a professional, collaborative hybrid work environment where specialized knowledge, thoughtful work, and dependable follow-through are valued.

You’ll have ownership of meaningful work, collaborate with experienced colleagues, and build expertise in the insurance requirements behind complex lending transactions.

Accessibility and Accommodation

INTECH is committed to an inclusive and accessible recruitment process. Accommodations for applicants with disabilities are available upon request throughout all stages of recruitment and selection. If you require an accommodation, please contact our hiring team, and we will work with you to meet your accessibility needs.

INTECH does not use artificial intelligence to screen, assess, or select applicants for this position.

Interested? We’d welcome the opportunity to learn more about your experience. Please email your resume to humanresources@intechrisk.com and we look forward to meeting you!
