A healthier future. That is what drives us to innovate. To continuously advance science and ensure everyone has access to the healthcare they need - today and for generations to come. To create a world where we all have more time with the people we love. That is what defines us.

As part of our finance team, you will be a vital business partner, serving as a key tax expert for the organization. This challenging role entails key responsibilities, including the planning and oversight of critical internal and corporate audits.

Your mission will be to collaborate closely with various stakeholders to drive the company’s strategic and tactical initiatives, while ensuring compliance with our accounting, reporting, and period-end closing obligations on both a monthly and annual basis.

As a member of the broader Foundations community and the Finance Chapter, you will be committed to delivering results through seamless partnership in pursuit of our purpose and our "North Star." We are seeking an individual with strong analytical skills and keen business acumen to actively support operations in Canada.

The opportunity

  • You will work closely with the Affiliate Chief Accountant (CCA) and the Finance Efficiency Facilitator to ensure that our accounting, reporting, and period-end closing obligations are met on a monthly and annual basis.
  • You possess in-depth knowledge of balance sheet processes, enabling you to devise corrective plans to mitigate risks and reduce costs.
  • You are responsible for the working capital budget - specifically inventory, accounts receivable, and accounts payable - and will produce, optimize, and streamline the necessary reports.
  • You will serve as the organization's tax expert, liaising with tax authorities and consumption tax consultants.
  • You will participate in various tax and corporate audits, handling the preparation and validation of required financial data.
  • You are responsible for planning and conducting internal audits to verify the organization's compliance with accounting and tax regulations as well as established policies.
  • You will act as the local lead for the CashX project, implementing best practices aimed at reducing cash flow risks.

Who you are

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting.
  • You have 5 to 7 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in the healthcare sector.
  • You demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities and set expectations.
  • You have the ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
  • In this role, you will interact with colleagues across Canada; therefore, a competent level of English and proficiency in French are required.

Strengths

  • You hold an accounting certification (CPA, CGA, or CA).
  • You possess in-depth knowledge of SAP FI/CO and RSS operations.
  • You have a good understanding of Client and BpSP/BpxP tools.
  • You are agile, with a growth mindset and a willingness to adopt new ways of working.
