Original job description

Company Description

At Intelerad, we believe the path to answers in healthcare should be clear-whether you are waiting for a diagnosis or trying to expedite one. Our medical imaging solutions streamline the flow of information, simplifying complex processes, maximizing efficiencies, and shining a light on the unknown. We empower physicians to get patients the answers they need faster and improve outcomes for everyone. With more accessible imaging, we are getting patients out of the dark.

Headquartered in Raleigh, NC and Montreal, Intelerad has nearly 800 employees located in offices across four countries. The company empowers nearly 2,000 healthcare organizations around the world with the speed, scalability, and simplicity needed to increase business performance while, most importantly, improving patient outcomes. Intelerad’s modern enterprise solutions have been acknowledged by a Best in KLAS recognition, ranking #1 for PACS Europe UK/Ireland in the 2026 Best in KLAS: Global Software (Non-US) report.

Job Description

As a Software Tester on the InteleShare team, you'll safeguard the quality of the platform that healthcare providers use to share and exchange medical imaging. Working across the full testing lifecycle, you'll partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to catch issues before they reach customers, strengthen our automation practices, and help ensure every release meets the reliability our industry demands.

The work is automation-first. InteleShare is covered by a BDD test framework written in Java 17 and Maven - Cucumber feature files driving Selenium page objects for the web UI and Rest-Assured clients for the APIs, with Allure and ExtentReports for results and Jira Xray for test management - executed against nine application components and nine environments through GitHub Actions. You will write and own tests in that framework, not just execute them manually.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Execution: Participate in the full testing lifecycle - requirements validation, test planning, and test case development - through functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing, covering image sharing and exchange workflows end to end: DICOM ingestion and retrieval, HL7-driven order and report flows, storage backends, viewer behaviour, and the web application.
Automation & Process Improvement: Write and maintain automated tests in the InteleShare framework - Gherkin feature files, Java step definitions, Selenium page objects, and Rest-Assured API tests - and improve the framework's reliability, coverage, and testability within an Agile Scrum environment.
CI & Test Operations: Run and triage regression suites through GitHub Actions across components, environments, browsers, and operating systems; keep results flowing into Jira Xray with useful evidence; and drive down flaky tests so failures mean something.
Defect Management: Identify, document, and report defects with clear reproduction steps, logs, and evidence, maintaining traceability in Jira/Xray from business requirements and technical specifications through test cases and executions to resolution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to formulate test scenarios, reproduce customer escalations, troubleshoot issues across the stack, and support post-release and post-implementation testing.
Stakeholder Engagement: Interact with clients and internal stakeholders to understand product requirements and translate them into effective test coverage.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies
2+ years of experience as a Software Tester or QA Analyst on web applications, including hands-on test automation, or equivalent experience.
Experience with project management principles and QA methodology
Working knowledge of test management tooling (Jira with Xray, or equivalents such as qTest or Zephyr) and of SQL for verifying data directly in the database (PostgreSQL).
Enough programming ability to write and maintain automated tests in an object-oriented language - Java preferred, since the InteleShare framework is Java/Maven - and comfort working in Git/GitHub with pull request reviews.
Ability to investigate a failure below the UI: reading application logs, inspecting REST/JSON requests and responses, and using browser developer tools.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications & Special Requirements

Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing
Hands-on experience with Selenium and a BDD framework (Cucumber/Gherkin), and with API test automation (Rest-Assured, Postman, or similar).
Experience running automated suites in CI (GitHub Actions or equivalent) and working with test reporting tools such as Allure or ExtentReports.
Cross-browser and cross-platform test experience (Chrome and Firefox on Linux, Windows, and macOS; cloud grids such as BrowserStack).
Familiarity with JavaScript test tooling used alongside the front end (Jest, Playwright).
Comfort working with containerized test environments - running services as Docker containers or Kubernetes pods.
Experience with performance or load testing.
Healthcare IT or medical imaging domain knowledge - DICOM, HL7, FHIR, PACS/RIS, or image exchange workflows - is a strong plus.
Experience testing in a regulated environment (HIPAA, FDA, ISO 13485/9001) and producing validation documentation.
