Interior Health is hiring a permanent full time Administrative Assistant to join our Community Care Administration team at the Castlegar District Health Centre in Castlegar, B.C.
The location of this position is flexible within the Kootenay Boundary region.
- Some travel within the KB may be required throughout the year.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate must have excellent organization skills will excel in managing schedules, coordinating travel and meetings, preparing correspondence and reports, maintaining records, and handling sensitive information with professionalism and discretion. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment are essential.
- QI experience, and an/or project management, would be an asset.

What will you work on?
The Admin Assistant will be responsible to the Kootenay Boundary Clinical Operations Director. The Administrative Assistant works in a team environment to provide confidential administrative support functions to the Director for the department or program and other management staff as required. The Administrative Assistant serves as a vital linkage and communication source to keep the department or program informed and aligned to its priorities.
Some responsibilities include: coordinating and organizing workflow; determining priorities; composing confidential correspondence for signature; designing and creating correspondence, documents, presentations, orientation packages, and spreadsheets (including data entry) for authorization by the management team; maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of all information which flows through, and is processed for management as it pertains to client care, operations, personnel, labour relations, finance, and public affairs; and supporting the Director in setting the positive, collaborative, efficient tone for the department or program.
