Interior Health is seeking a permanent full-time Coordinator, Parking Services to lead and support parking services programs across the organization. This position plays a key role in ensuring effective program delivery through operational leadership, staff supervision, contract management, financial oversight, and the coordination of activities that support safe, efficient, and customer-focused parking services.

The salary range for this position is $76,111 (min) to $95,138 (midpoint) to $109,409 (max) per annum, based on 1.0 FTE. Interior Health typically establishes salaries within the minimum and midpoint of the salary range based on qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.

How Will You Create An Impact

The Coordinator, Parking Services is accountable for supporting the delivery of Parking Services’ programs across Interior Health (IH). The Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of programs within the assigned area in accordance with established standards and in support of the goals and strategic direction of IH.

What Will You Work On

Participates in and coordinates the development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of programs, policies, and procedures in the assigned area of responsibility across IH.
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the parking services program across IH and, in consultation with the Manager, ensures compliance with contracted services and performance standards. Supervises assigned staff including hiring, orientation and training, assigning work, and monitoring and evaluating performance.
Provides support in managing operating and capital budgets for the assigned area of responsibility, including budget preparation, control, and reporting of expenditures, ensuring the efficient utilization of financial resources.
Interprets and administers collective agreements; participates in the investigation of and response to grievances and routine, confidential employee issues; and participates in Third Party hearings.
Acts as liaison and provides consultative advice to leaders regarding parking activities and concerns; participates in the development of action plans for assigned area of responsibility including the investigation and determination of appropriate outcomes; provides advice to, and participates with, Human Resources, the Director/ Manager, and others in parking-related investigations and activities involving staff.
Promotes awareness of Parking Services’ programs by developing and delivering informational and educational programs (such as new employee orientation and initiatives) and participates in the review and evaluation of these programs.
Takes a lead role across IH on issues related to systems and technology of the assigned area of responsibility, under the authority of the Manager, including the monitoring and management of capital funds assigned for parking technology.
Consults, on behalf of IH, with external agencies and organizations such as fire, police, city/town councils, emergency response agencies, and other hospitals on issues relating to parking.
Authorizes expenditures for utilization of contract parking services staff and operational parking requirements; operationally manages Parking Services-related contracts; and assists with budget preparation by providing input and by preparing supporting documentation.
Maintains an information system of activities, investigations, incidents, losses, resolutions, and key performance indicators. Produces related statistics and reports.
Participates, as a representative of the department and of IH, on internal and external committees.
Provides after hours on-call function, as required.
In alignment with IH’s Occupational Health & Safety Program, employees shall adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times and attend all required training. Employees are responsible to report any identified hazards, unsafe conditions or incidents to the manager or supervisor immediately.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
