Original job description
This is a fantastic opportunity for a pediatrician looking to practice in a welcoming community setting where lifestyle opportunities are endless. If you're hardworking and passionate about your work, join us at Kelowna General Hospital (KGH). You'll be part of our talented and cohesive team, providing general acute pediatric care, neonatal and consultant pediatric services to patients and their families at KGH. As a tertiary referral hospital, KGH pediatricians also manage and coordinate care for more complex regional cases, working closely with BC Children's Hospital when highly specialized services are required. Our state-of-the-art Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) houses 12 beds and supports babies born after 30 weeks of gestation. We have a 10-bed pediatric unit with an adjacent pediatric urgent care clinic. We also have outpatient clinic space, which is used for outreach clinics from various sub-specialist groups from BC Children's Hospital. In association with UBC's Southern Medical Program, you'll have opportunities to teach medical students, family practice residents, and senior pediatric residents. Academic work takes place in both the Clinical Teaching Unit and NICU, averaging one week per month. Be part of a dedicated group where your expertise as a compassionate pediatrician truly matters. Email your CV to Physician Recruitment today. It's better here! If you're already eligible to work in Canada, we’d welcome you to come for a locum and experience working with us firsthand.
