Are you passionate about enhancing the lives of individuals through engaging recreational activities? Swan Valley Lodge in Creston, BC, is seeking a dedicated Recreation Therapy Worker to join our dynamic team.
Your Role
As a Recreation Therapy Worker | Bus Driver, you will be an integral member of the interdisciplinary team, dedicated to implementing our Recreation Therapy Program in accordance with the vision and values of the organization. You will carry out a variety of individual and group leisure/recreation therapy programs, such as arts, socio-cultural events, crafts, sports, music, cooking, gardening, and exercises. Your responsibilities will include setting up and organizing furnishings and equipment for programs and special events, assisting residents in participating, and reporting any issues to the supervisor. Additionally, you will manage resident programs outside the facility, ensuring residents have appropriate clothing and necessary funds for outings, and coordinating details with nursing staff or therapists.
