Join our Recreation Therapy Department at Nelson Jubilee Manor, where we prioritize resident well-being and foster a supportive community.
Your Role
As a Recreation Therapy Worker | Bus Driver, you’ll work as part of an interdisciplinary team to implement established Recreation Therapy programs that promote residents’ quality of life, well-being, and participation.
You’ll lead individual and group activities such as arts, music, cooking, gardening, exercise, and special events, adapting programs to meet residents’ physical, social, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual needs. You’ll also support community outings by accompanying and safely transporting residents, ensuring they have what they need to participate.
You’ll organize activities and equipment, monitor resident participation, maintain attendance records, and communicate observations or changes to the care team. If you enjoy creating meaningful experiences and helping residents stay active and connected, this role offers an opportunity to make a difference every day.
How will we help you grow?
Join our recreation team as a casual employee, where you’ll enjoy variety, gain valuable experience, and have the chance to grow your career. Work hours range from 0 to 37.5 per week, with shifts available on short notice or pre-scheduled to cover leaves. Many of our team members start in casual roles and transition into permanent positions. Plus, we offer competitive wages, shift premiums, employer-paid training, and an Employee & Family Assistance Program to support you every step of the way.
