About The Job
The Registered Nurse:
Practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care
Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
Ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs
Demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities
This is a Relief Full Time (1.00 FTE) opportunity until December 01, 2027, or the return of the incumbent.
Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:30 to 19:30, 19:30 to 07:30 hours.
About this Location
The 7th floor of Gaglardi Tower is a supportive and collaborative unit, home to 18 rehabilitation beds and 12 medical beds, including 4 palliative care beds.
On the rehab side, care is holistic and relationship-focused. Nurses act as motivators, providing consistent, patient-centered support with the goal of restoring independence. Interdisciplinary teamwork is essential, and family involvement is encouraged throughout the journey.
The medical side involves a broad range of acute care skills, including IV therapy, oxygen support, enteral feeds, complex wound care, and pain and diabetes management.
Our palliative beds focus on quality end-of-life care, with an emphasis on symptom management, and psychosocial and spiritual support for patients and families.
Staff on 7th floor are known for being kind, welcoming, and team-oriented, creating a nurturing space for both healing and compassionate care.
