About The Job
The Registered Nurse:
Practices in a perinatal clinical setting and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care
Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
Ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs
Demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities
This is a Relief Full Time (1.00) opportunity until April 30, 2027, or the return of the incumbent.
Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:30 to 19:30, 19:30 to 07:30 hours.
About this Location
Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) is in the Thompson Cariboo Shuswap health service area and is one of two Interior Health tertiary referral hospitals.
Located in Kamloops, RIH offers high-level, specialty medical care including core physician specialties, 24 emergency and trauma services, ambulatory and outpatient clinics, and diagnostic services. Specialty services include ambulatory psychiatry, elderly mental health, clinical nutrition, and lung health.
As part of the Women’s and Children’s Health Services team, you will work to care for a variety of patient types from preterm to adult, following them through their individual journey’s. Ante-/intra-/post-partum patients. We will soon be in our new state-of-the-art Tower in which we will be able to provide care in private family room spaces and we will be connected to our amazing new NICU space, improving care needs!

Our team works very closely with a variety of experts, including our multidisciplinary team, and we learn from our physicians, obstetricians, pediatricians, midwives, social workers, dieticians etc.
