About The Job
The Registered Nurse:
Provides nursing care to Long-term Care patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
Enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers
Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice
Maintains and advances own clinical competence
Participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned
This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.
Shifts of work will be scheduled days, evenings and nights rotating from 07:00 to 15:00, 15:00 to 23:00 and 23:00 to 07:00 hours.

Ponderosa Lodge has 136 short term beds (68 First Appropriate Bed & 68 Pathway to Home which include convalescent and respite care). It is a multi-level brick building built in the heart of downtown Kamloops, one block from Royal Inland Hospital.
