Interior Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sonographer to join our Medical Imaging Department at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, BC. About The Job
Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBH) performs a wide variety of exams including abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, vascular, small parts, echo, and some interventional work (drainages and biopsies). We perform exams in outpatient and inpatient care (including ER and ICU). KBH’s Medical Imaging Department operates 7 days per week with rotating shift times. It consists of three scanning rooms (two general, vascular and small parts; one echo). The department averages 6,500 exams per year and 1,700 echo exams per year.
This is a Relief Part Time (0.89) opportunity until the return of the incumbent.
Shifts of work will be scheduled rotating day and evening shifts.

Responsibilities
Perform a variety of sonographic examinations, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, vascular, small parts, and echocardiography exams, as well as some interventional procedures such as drainages and biopsies. Provide imaging services to outpatient and inpatient patients, including those in the emergency department and intensive care unit, while working rotating day and evening shifts.
