InVision is a Professional Recruitment Firm involved in Engineering, Industrial/Skilled Trades, Information Technology and Professional Services within Canada and the U.S. We have a successful track record working on both small and large recruitment projects, across North America.

Our client is a Renewable Energy Leader; they are looking to hire a skilled Construction Site Manager to oversee and manage all on-site activities for their Electrical Substation Projects across North America and Quebec.

The Construction Site Manager will lead on-site execution of critical power generation and power grid projects. This role is central to project success, overseeing construction activities from early site preparation through installation, testing, and commissioning of high-voltage equipment.

Responsibilities:

Act as the primary site interface with customers, local authorities, and external stakeholders.
Lead site mobilization, manpower planning, and daily construction activities to achieve project milestones.
Ensure site teams clearly understand the Scope of Work (SoW) and Division of Work (DoW).
Drive site change management, including variation orders and subcontractor follow-ups.
Coordinate testing, commissioning, and customer acceptance activities per contractual requirements.
Promote and enforce strong Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards on site.
Ensure quality execution and proper creation, tracking, and archiving of site records and documentation.
Deliver site activities in line with contractual schedules, cost targets, and customer expectations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience as a Site Manager in Québec, ideally in energy, power grids, or heavy infrastructure.
Proven experience in civil works, installation, and/or commissioning.
Strong understanding of contracts, commercial terms, and site cost control.
Relevant HSE knowledge and certifications.
Fluent in French and English, spoken and written.
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work in Canada.

Le gestionnaire de chantier sera responsable de l'exécution sur le terrain de projets critiques de production d'énergie et de réseau électrique. Ce rôle est essentiel à la réussite des projets, car il supervise les activités de construction, de la préparation du site jusqu'à l'installation, les essais et la mise en service des équipements à haute tension.

Responsabilités :

Assurer la liaison principale avec les clients, les autorités locales et les intervenants externes.
Diriger la mobilisation du personnel, la planification des effectifs et les activités quotidiennes de construction afin d'atteindre les objectifs du projet.
S'assurer que les équipes sur le chantier comprennent clairement le cahier des charges et la répartition des tâches.
Gérer les changements sur le chantier, y compris les ordres de modification et le suivi des sous-traitants.
Coordonner les essais, la mise en service et les activités de réception client conformément aux exigences contractuelles.
Promouvoir et appliquer des normes rigoureuses en matière de santé, sécurité et environnement (SSE) sur le chantier.
Garantir une exécution de qualité et la création, le suivi et l'archivage adéquats des dossiers et de la documentation du chantier.
Réaliser les activités du chantier conformément aux échéanciers contractuels, aux objectifs de coûts et aux attentes du client.

Qualifications :

Baccalauréat en génie civil, électrique ou mécanique.
Minimum de 10 ans d'expérience comme gestionnaire de chantier au Québec, idéalement dans le secteur de l'énergie, des réseaux électriques ou des infrastructures lourdes.
Expérience avérée en travaux de génie civil, installation et/ou mise en service.
Solide compréhension des contrats, des conditions commerciales et du contrôle des coûts de chantier.
Connaissances et certifications pertinentes en matière de SSE.
Maîtrise du français et de l'anglais, à l'oral et à l'écrit.
Le candidat doit déjà posséder une autorisation de travail lui permettant de travailler au Canada.
