Original job description

Recruiter at InVision Staffing Services Inc. · Oakville, ON · Hybrid · Full-time $45,000–$55,000 base + uncapped commission + benefits

Staffing with integrity.

Why InVision? InVision is a North American staffing firm with three specialized divisions: Engineering, Professional Services and Industrial. From today's biggest brands to the fastest-growing companies, we place engineers, IT professionals, finance experts and skilled tradespeople.

And we're just getting started. InVision is entering an exciting period of growth: new clients, new industries, new markets and new opportunities for our people. We're also investing in technology and AI that make our recruiters faster and smarter, so you'll learn this business the modern way. Join us now and you won't just ride that growth; you'll help drive it.

We're big enough to offer a genuine career and small enough that your work, and your wins, never get lost in the crowd. Every placement we make changes someone's family, health or career, and we take that responsibility seriously.

The opportunity This isn't just a recruiting job. It's the first step in a sales career. You'll learn the staffing business from the ground up: finding great talent, matching the right person to the right team and building relationships that last. Hit your milestones, and you can move into a sales role in as little as 3 to 6 months.

What you'll do

Source and engage candidates through our database, referrals, job boards and LinkedIn
Use modern recruiting technology and AI tools to find great people faster and spend more of your day talking to them
Screen candidates by phone, by video and in person, assessing skills, reliability and fit
Run virtual interviews on Microsoft Teams and other video platforms, and set up seamless online interviews between candidates and clients
Present qualified candidates to clients, and guide both sides through interviews and offers
Confirm every detail before day one, so new hires start strong
Stay in touch with candidates after they start, so every placement lasts
Partner with our sales team on client needs and hiring strategy
Keep accurate, up-to-date records in our applicant tracking system
Learn how we win new business, and start building your own client relationships

How you'll grow: personally and professionally We invest heavily in our people, because our growth depends on yours.

Hands-on training in our proven recruiting process, from intake to placement
Daily coaching: a morning game plan, an end-of-day check-in and leaders who are in your corner
Honest feedback that helps you get better every week
Future-ready skills: learn to use AI and technology to work smarter, skills that will serve you for your whole career
Personal development: build the confidence, communication and resilience that will serve you in every part of your life
A clear path into sales in 3 to 6 months, with defined milestones to earn it
No ceiling: titles don't limit how far you can go here

Let's talk money and perks

Base salary of $45,000–$55,000, based on experience
Uncapped commission: you pay yourself. Earn as much as you want. Your effort and results decide your income, not a cap.
Benefits package
Hybrid work schedule
A team that competes to win and celebrates every placement

What you need

Customer service experience. You know how to take care of people, stay calm under pressure and turn a tough conversation around.
A degree is not required. Drive matters more than a diploma.

Do you have what it takes?

You're competitive, and you love being measured on results
You're motivated by earning, and you have a clear reason behind the number
You're a natural communicator, and your personality comes through on the phone
You move with urgency: "today" beats "tomorrow"
You're persistent: to you, "no" is the start of the conversation, not the end
You're kind and team-minded, and you celebrate other people's wins as much as your own
You've pushed through something hard and come out better for it
You're coachable, and you want to keep getting better

What helps

Previous sales experience
A diploma or degree in business or a related field
Comfort with virtual tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Outlook, AI
