Original job description

Invoke is a consulting and innovation firm focused on delivering Intelligent Automation solutions that solve real operational challenges. We partner with organizations across industries to design and implement scalable RPA and AI-driven workflows that improve efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.

Our teams work hands-on with clients to automate complex processes across a range of systems, from modern applications to legacy environments. Whether it’s streamlining high-volume workflows or improving data quality and consistency, our goal is to build automation and AI solutions that are practical, maintainable, and impactful.

We're looking for a DevOps engineer to help run and improve our setup on AWS. You'll work side by side with our developers to get code out smoothly, keep things running, and jump in when something breaks.

We use Terraform, containers and CI/CD pipelines every day, so you should be comfortable with those. If you have around 3–5 years of experience and like owning your work from start to finish, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain AWS infrastructure as code with Terraform
  • Design, run and improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, GitLab)
  • Run containerized workloads on Amazon EKS and/or ECS/Fargate, and support serverless services on Lambda
  • Set up monitoring, logging and alerting with CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana
  • Apply security best practices: least-privilege IAM, secrets management, image scanning and patching
  • Track and reduce AWS spend through rightsizing, tagging, Savings Plans and Spot usage
  • Troubleshoot production issues and write blameless postmortems
  • Automate repetitive tasks with Python or Bash, and document runbooks
  • Work with developers to provide self-service templates and smooth the path to production

Required qualifications

  • 3–5 years in DevOps, SRE or cloud engineering, with at least 2 years running production workloads on AWS
  • Strong hands-on experience with core AWS services: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch
  • Infrastructure as code with Terraform, including modules and remote state
  • Docker and Kubernetes, ideally on Amazon EKS
  • Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Scripting in Python or Bash
  • Solid Linux and networking basics: DNS, load balancing, subnets, security groups
  • Git workflows and code review
  • Clear communication and I would like to comfort working with developers across teams
  • Must pass a UiPath certification within 6 months of starting

Nice to have

  • AWS certifications: DevOps Engineer – Professional or Solutions Architect – Associate
  • Multi-account AWS setups with Organizations
  • Exposure to AI/ML workloads on AWS (Bedrock, SageMaker) or AI-assisted ops tooling
