🚨 Hiring: Data Analyst | Toronto, ON – Hybrid
We’re looking for a Data Analyst with strong capital markets / financial services experience and hands-on expertise in SQL and AWS data platforms.
🔹 What You’ll Do
- Analyze large datasets involving capital markets, portfolios, and financial transactions
- Develop and optimize SQL queries across AWS Redshift, Athena, and PostgreSQL
- Support cloud-based ETL/ELT, data ingestion, and transformation workflows
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines using AWS CloudWatch
- Work with Data Engineers on data quality, validation, and reconciliation
- Translate business requirements into functional/data specifications
🔹 Must-Have Skills
- Must have at least 6-7 years of experience
- Strong experience in Capital Markets, Asset management or Financial services
- Understanding of financial instruments, trading data, portfolios, and investment workflows
- Advanced SQL
- Hands-on experience with:
- AWS Redshift
- AWS Athena
- PostgreSQL
- AWS Glue
- AWS Lambda
- AWS CloudWatch
- AWS Secrets Manager / Parameter Store
- Airflow or similar DAG-based orchestration tools
- Experience with cloud-based ETL/ELT and data pipelines
- Python for data analysis or scripting
🔹 Nice to Have
- Power BI or Tableau
- Data modeling / data warehouse experience
- Agile or data product environment experience
