Original job description

Who We Are:

Ipsos is one of the world's largest research companies and the only one primarily managed by researchers. Ranked the #1 Most Innovative Market Research Supplier by Greenbook’s GRIT report for four consecutive years, we operate in 90 markets, offer more than 75 data-driven solutions, and serve over 5,000 clients worldwide. Our research, methodological, implementation, and subject matter experts help organizations solve complex business challenges through data-driven insights and evidence-based decision-making. We're proud to have been named one of Forbes' America's Best Employers for Company Culture in 2025, Forbes' America's Best Employers for Women in 2026 and recognized by Newsweek as one of the World’s Most Trustworthy Companies in 2026.

About Channel Performance:

The Channel Performance Service Line is home to the largest mystery shopping agency in the world. We complete over one million shops every year in 100+ countries across all industry segments and organization sizes. We also offer Geolocation Surveys, Site Audits & Installations, and foundational research within our portfolio of services. Our purpose is to help our clients improve their business performance across all channels in which they serve their customers – brick and mortar retail, digital e-commerce, and contact centers. We do this by helping them size channel opportunities, measure the delivery of brand promises, and drive compliance and sales conversion across these channels.

Our Canadian team is currently seeking individuals to join as Project Schedulers, working as Independent Contractors.

Interested individuals are brought on to complete specific project related tasks when the team needs additional support. They will then invoice the Company for the agreed hours worked and hourly rate as per the contractor agreement.

Independent Contractors are assigned at the project level and will ideally have experience handling and managing projects on both Sassie and Shopmetrics (SMX).

What you can expect to be doing:

Working under the direction of a Field Manager/Field Coordinators to ensure all work is completed on time, in full, and error free.
Utilize Sassie and/or SMX to optimize shop allocation.
Coordinate schedules for Mystery Shoppers, including following up with overdue shoppers, reposting declines, and sending out targeted and/or bonus emails
Respond to shopper’s project related questions and support them in the successful execution of their shop.
Work with internal Client Success (CS) team to ensure successful execution of each project.
Replacing and/or returning shops flagged by validation or CS. Follow-up with shops that are not resubmitted after a return

This is the profile of our ideal candidate:

Available 30–40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, during North American business hours.
Proactive, adaptable self-starter with strong time management skills.
Initiates and applies critical thinking to solve problems independently.
Excels in fast-paced environments, maintaining high quality and focus, while collaboratively managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Highly efficient in Excel, with hands-on experience (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) to manage databases and daily reporting.
Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse personalities and perspectives.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Committed to high ethical standards and workplace diversity.
Proficient in English written and verbal communication; French fluency is an asset.
Experience with SMX or SASSIE platforms is an asset.

If you don’t meet 100% of the requirements, we encourage all who feel they might be a fit for the opportunity to apply. We may consider a variety of backgrounds for a particular role and are also committed to considering candidates for available positions throughout our organization, not just the one you’re applying to!

In accordance with Ontario & British Columbia law, the estimated base salary for this role is $27 CAD Hourly. Your final base salary will be determined based on several non-discriminatory factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.

A great opportunity for individuals that are seeking something a bit more flexible to work around other commitments or possibly a side gig.

It could potentially lead to a more permanent position within the organization.

Inclusive Workplace Commitment

Ipsos recognizes the necessity of building an inclusive culture that values each employee’s individuality and diverse perspectives. For more than 40 years, our mission has been to generate and analyze data about society, markets, brands, and behaviors to provide our clients with the insights that elevate their understanding of the world. This could not be fulfilled without Ipsos’ diverse employees who compile and analyze this data - they are the essence of who we are and what we do.

We are committed to providing equal opportunity to all employees, creating an environment that promotes inclusion, and enabling employees from all walks of life to flourish. Ipsos encourages our employees to act in a respectful and responsible manner, in line with code of best practices concerning diversity and inclusion, human rights, equality, and civility for every individual.

Ipsos is An Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or any other protected class and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability.
