About the Opportunity

IQ PARTNERS is pleased to support an established and highly regarded boutique law firm specializing in condominium law. The firm has built a strong reputation within the Ontario condominium industry and advises condominium corporations on a broad range of sophisticated legal, governance, transactional, and dispute-resolution matters.

They have multiple new openings available and are seeking a junior Associate, mid-level, and a senior Lawyer to join a growing practice.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on contracts, bylaws, declarations, rules, agreements, and other legal documentation.
Provide strategic legal advice to condominium corporations on governance, compliance, operational, and risk-management matters.
Work closely with clients and external professionals, including auditors, engineers, property managers, consultants, and other advisors.
Manage and/or take carriage of litigation and dispute-resolution matters.
Represent clients before various dispute-resolution forums, including the Condominium Authority Tribunal, Superior Court of Justice, Human Rights Tribunal, and other applicable tribunals and courts.
Handle matters involving construction deficiencies, warranty disputes, liens, governance, enforcement, insurance, reserve funds, common elements, and other condominium-related issues.
Conduct legal research and stay current on developments in condominium legislation, case law, and regulatory requirements.
Build strong, trusted relationships with clients and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

Candidates who do not have condominium experience but have strong transferable experience in real estate, construction, civil litigation, corporate/commercial, or property-related matters may also be considered.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting salary ranges from $80,000 – $250,000 (commensurate with experience and year of call).
