Original job description

Are you Ready to Build the Future of AI Infrastructure?

If you’re energized by massive scale, deep technical complexity, and the opportunity to shape the next era of compute, this is your moment. Join a team where groundbreaking work meets competitive compensation, meaningful impact, and a chance to accelerate your career at the forefront of AI innovation. We want to meet you.

Why IREN?

IREN is a vertically integrated AI Cloud provider, delivering large-scale data centers and GPU clusters for AI training and inference. IREN’s platform is underpinned by its expansive portfolio of grid-connected land and power in renewable-rich regions across North America, Europe and APAC.

With 100% renewable energy, we build, own and operate our data centers and take pride in being at the forefront of sustainable solutions for the ever-evolving applications of high-performance compute. We believe that human progress is invaluable, but it should be done in the right way: responsibly, sustainably and having a positive impact on the communities we operate in.

This position is based on-site in Canal Flats, BC, supporting the construction of a 30 MW liquid-cooled AI data center campus. It is a day-shift role supporting both construction crews.

The Role

The Site Administrator is the organizational backbone of the Canal Flats construction site. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you keep the site office running: daily reports, timesheets and crew rosters for two rotating crews, document flow between the field and project controls, camp and travel coordination, purchasing and expense support, and the meeting cadence that keeps the superintendents, General Foremen, and contractors aligned. You are the person who knows where everything is, who is on site today, and what is due tomorrow.
  • Daily Site Administration: Compile and distribute daily progress and manpower reports, maintain crew rosters across the A/B rotation and day/night shifts, and track timesheets for submission to payroll.
  • Document Control Support: Log, file, and distribute drawings, RFIs, submittals, permits, and safety documentation; maintain the site filing structure on SharePoint; support the Document Controller with QA/QC and turnover packages.
  • Camp, Travel & Logistics: Coordinate camp bookings, rotation travel, site access and orientation scheduling for IREN crews, contractors, and visitors.
  • Meeting & Communication Support: Schedule and minute daily and weekly construction and progress meetings, track action items, and chase closure with the superintendents and General Foremen.
  • Procurement & Expense Support: Raise purchase requisitions for site consumables and PPE, track deliveries, reconcile site expenses, invoices, and credit card receipts with head office finance.
  • Onboarding & Compliance Tracking: Track certifications, tickets, and training expiries for site personnel; coordinate new-hire site orientation with HSE.
  • Front of House: Act as the first point of contact for the site office, fielding requests from vendors, contractors, the community, and head office.
  • 3+ years of administrative, office management, or bookkeeping experience in a construction, industrial, resource, or remote-site environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint); experience with payroll, timesheet, or document control platforms an asset.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities for a large, rotating workforce.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, comfortable working with trades, superintendents, and head office alike.
  • Discretion handling personnel and payroll information.
  • Ability to work on-site in Canal Flats, BC; local candidates from the Columbia Valley encouraged to apply.

Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience supporting a construction management team on a data center, industrial, or energy project.
  • Accounts payable / receivable or payroll processing experience.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence.

  • Work with state-of-the-art AI hardware and some of the most advanced compute systems in the world
  • Be part of a team that values innovation, autonomy, and continuous learning
  • Make a measurable impact on the performance and reliability of global AI workloads
