Original job description
Project Manager – IM/IT (Level 2) |Victoria, BC | Hybrid | Contract
The deadline isn't moving. Neither can the project.
Some projects have room for trial and error. Others involve interconnected systems, multiple stakeholders, critical service dependencies, and delivery dates that cannot slip.
This opportunity belongs to the second category.
IRENYS Inc. is looking for an experienced Project Manager – IM-related Level 2 for a large-scale technology transition and business modernization initiative in British Columbia. The assignment calls for someone who understands what happens between a project plan and a successful implementation: dependencies change, priorities compete, risks emerge, and decisions cannot always wait.
The mandate
Take responsibility for project delivery across planning, scheduling, budgeting, governance, risk management, procurement coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
You'll work across business and technology teams, manage vendor dependencies, resolve delivery obstacles, oversee change requests, and coordinate implementation readiness.
The experience that matters
We're particularly interested in professionals who have:
- Delivered complex IM/IT projects involving enterprise systems or business transformation.
- Managed project scope, cost, schedules, resources, quality, and risks.
- Coordinated multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
- Led technology migrations, integrations, or service transitions.
- Demonstrated sound judgment, strong communication, and effective project governance.
Experience with payment technologies, financial systems, or public-sector modernization would be valuable.
The essentials
- Location: Victoria, British Columbia
- Work arrangement: Primarily remote, with occasional on-site attendance
- Contract term: December 1, 2026 – November 30, 2027
- Eligibility: Currently based in British Columbia
- Start availability: Within two weeks of December 1, 2026
A project plan tells you what should happen. Experience tells you what could go wrong.
We're interested in the people who know how to manage both. If you bring together strong project management expertise, strategic thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate complex challenges while keeping teams and deliverables on track, we’d love to connect with you.
Apply now or share this opportunity with an experienced Project Manager who would be a great fit!
