Original job description
Iridia Medical has been at the forefront of innovation since 1998 when we launched the very first workplace AED program. Over the years, we've grown and evolved, offering a diverse range of healthcare-related products and services. Whether it's in the seclusion of remote camps, or the hustle and bustle of urban workplaces, we're all about creating cutting-edge solutions to improve healthcare delivery and quality across Canada.
Iridia has an open, diverse culture that encourages participation and innovation. We reward exceptional work and creative ideas. Please visit our website at www.iridiamedical.com to get to know us.
What You’ll Be a Part Of:
The Project Ninja Co-op role is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience supporting projects and initiatives across Iridia’s programs and operational teams, with a primary focus on Longevity Health and Organizational Health Programs (I-OHP) and Marketing initiatives. You’ll support moderately complex projects, help keep initiatives moving forward, and contribute to the day-to-day delivery of internal and client-facing work. This role is ideal for a student who enjoys variety, organization, collaboration, and learning how different parts of a growing organization fit together.
What You’ll Actually Do (Day-to-Day):
No two days look exactly the same, but here’s what you’ll regularly be involved in:
- Support Projects and Programs - You’ll provide coordination and administrative support for projects across Longevity Health, I-OHP, Marketing, and other operational teams, helping track tasks, timelines and deliverables.
- Support Marketing and Communications - You’ll assist with migrating content for our website redevelopment project, developing marketing materials, campaigns, creating and scheduling social media content, and preparing presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Help Things Run Smoothly - You’ll provide ad hoc support to operational and administrative activities across Remote Care Services (RCS), Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) programs, HR initiatives, and leadership projects as needed.
- Document and Improve Processes - You’ll help create and update process documentation, workflows, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and assist with identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Work With Data and Tools - You’ll use tools like Microsoft Office, Canva, and other platforms to support tracking, reporting, presentations, and coordination.
- Connect and Collaborate - You’ll help facilitate morning huddles, support staff meetings, onboarding activities, and staff engagement initiatives, working closely with people across the organization.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for someone who’s curious, reliable, and ready to grow. You’ll likely be a great fit if you:
- Are currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op, internship, or related academic program
- Enjoy juggling multiple tasks and learning new things
- Use Microsoft Office regularly and experience with Canva, Wix, or WordPress is an asset
- Communicate clearly and professionally
- Like working in a fast-paced, team-based environment
- Take initiative and follow through on what you commit to
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- Start Date: Week of December 14, 2026 (part-time), transitioning to full-time in January 2027.
We're flexible to accommodate exam schedules. The part-time start in December will provide an opportunity to connect with our current co-op student and ensure a smooth handover.
- End Date: August 31, 2027
This is an eight month placement covering two consecutive four-month co-op terms, January-April and May-August 2027. Applicants must be available to commit to both terms.
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full-time), beginning January 2027.
- Work Arrangement: This is an in-office role for the first four-month term. During the second term, the student will have the opportunity to work from home one day per week.
- Compensation: $19.50 per hour for the first four-month term, increasing to $21.50 per hour for the second four-month term.
Why Join Iridia:
In addition to a highly fulfilling opportunity to put your unique skills and abilities to use in a values-driven company, your seat on the Iridia bus comes with:
- Meaningful, hands-on experience across multiple teams and programs,
- Exposure to real projects that make an impact,
- Supportive, collaborative team environment,
- Opportunities to learn, ask questions, and build practical skills,
