Position: NodeJS Developer
Location: Toronto ON
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Build and enhance high-performance RESTful APIs, ensuring security, reliability, and maintainability.
- Define and implement service contracts, API specifications, and event schemas to support distributed systems.
- Develop and maintain event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar messaging platforms for asynchronous processing.
- Implement resilient messaging patterns including retry mechanisms, idempotency, dead-letter queues (DLQ), and event versioning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable backend solutions aligned with business and product requirements.
- Design and optimize MongoDB data models, collections, indexes, and queries to support low-latency, high-throughput applications.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve application performance through query optimization, caching strategies, and system tuning.
- Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and adherence to engineering best practices.
- Drive system reliability, observability, and operational excellence by implementing logging, monitoring, error handling, and production support processes.
