Position: QA Lead
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid, 3 days onsite in a week)
Key Responsibilities
- Own test strategy, planning, estimation, execution and release readiness.
- Lead functional, API, integration, regression and end-to-end testing.
- Define the appropriate balance of manual and automated testing.
- Drive automation standards and integration with CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead defect triage, root-cause analysis and quality-risk discussions.
- Own test traceability, execution reporting and quality metrics using Jira/ALM or equivalent.
- Mentor QA engineers while remaining technically hands-on.
- Partner with development, product, architecture and security teams throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
Required Skills
- 10+ years experience in managing teams
- Strong QA/Test Engineering experience with end-to-end ownership.
- Strong knowledge of Java and API automation.
- Strong experience testing REST APIs, microservices and enterprise integrations.
- Experience with functional, integration, regression, negative and E2E testing.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, OAuth/OIDC and token/session testing.
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, automated testing and production troubleshooting.
- Strong defect management, test planning, estimation and release-readiness experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor QA/automation engineers.
