Position: Quality Engineering Lead

Location: Toronto Ontario

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own overall test strategy, planning, estimation, execution, and release readiness for software delivery initiatives.
  • Lead functional, API, integration, regression, negative, and end-to-end testing activities across applications and services.
  • Define and implement the optimal balance between manual and automated testing to maximize quality and efficiency.
  • Drive test automation frameworks, standards, and seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Lead defect management, triage discussions, root cause analysis, and quality risk assessments.
  • Establish and maintain test traceability, execution reporting, dashboards, and quality metrics using tools such as Jira or ALM.
  • Collaborate closely with Development, Product, Architecture, Security, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.
  • Ensure comprehensive validation of REST APIs, microservices, enterprise integrations, authentication, authorization, and OAuth/OIDC workflows.
  • Mentor, coach, and provide technical leadership to QA and automation engineers while remaining hands-on with testing activities.
  • Support release planning, production validation, troubleshooting, and continuous quality improvement initiatives across projects and teams.

Responsibilities
