Iris's Direct client, a highly diversified financial services provider based in Canada is looking to hire a Sr. Data Engineer for a Long Term Contract opportunity.
Location: Hybrid – Mississauga (4 days from office)
JOB DESCRIPTION
- 5-8 years SQL & Python; cloud data platform experience (Snowflake highly preferred)
- ETL/ELT pipeline development at enterprise scale
- Experience with Stored procedures, task, dbt
- Data warehouse design, data modelling, workflow orchestration (Airflow or equivalent)
- Clear communicator; effective cross-functional collaborator, must work effectively with Data Architects, Analysts, and business stakeholders across a large program

Responsibilities

Requirements
Requires 5–8 years of experience with SQL and Python, along with cloud data platform experience; Snowflake is highly preferred. Experience with stored procedures, tasks, dbt, data warehouse design, data modeling, and workflow orchestration using Airflow or an equivalent is expected, as are clear communication and effective collaboration.
