Position: Senior DBA (SQL / DB2)
Employment Type: Long term
Location: Toronto, ON
Hybrid : 4 days office , 1 day work from home
Client : Banking
Key Responsibilities:
10+ years of overall IT experience.
Strong hands-on experience working as a Database Administrator (DBA).
Extensive experience with IBM DB2 database administration.
Strong knowledge of SQL, query tuning, and database performance optimization.
Experience with backup/recovery strategies, database monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Ability to support production environments and resolve critical database issues.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Administer IBM DB2 databases and use SQL, query tuning, and performance optimization to maintain database operations. Support production environments by monitoring databases, managing backup and recovery strategies, troubleshooting issues, and resolving critical incidents in collaboration with stakeholders.
Requirements
Requires 10 or more years of overall IT experience and strong hands-on experience as a database administrator, including extensive IBM DB2 administration. Candidates should have strong SQL and database performance skills, experience with backup and recovery, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support, as well as analytical, communication, and collaboration abilities.
