Iris's direct client, one of the Top 5 Bank in Canada, is looking to hire a Sr DBA (MySQL AND DB2) a long-term opportunity at Toronto, ON (Hybrid).
Our client is a Canadian multinational financial services company and the largest bank in Canada by market capitalization. Bank is serving individual consumers, small and middle market businesses and large corporations with a full range of banking, investing, asset management and other financial and risk-management products and services.
Position: Sr DBA (MySQL AND DB2)
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Duration: 12+ Months
Must have:
- Strong background in MySQL
- Strong background in DB2
- DB2 server monitoring, performance tuning and SQL tuning
- Script development for automation and maintenance jobs
- Hands-on in SQL writing & Query tuning
- SQL Replication Implementation & Maintenance
- Experience with database troubleshooting
Nice to have:
- Some cloud experience

Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain DB2 servers, tune database and SQL performance, and troubleshoot database issues. Develop scripts to automate maintenance jobs and implement and maintain SQL replication.
Requirements
Requires strong backgrounds in MySQL and DB2, along with hands-on SQL writing and query tuning experience. Candidates should have experience with DB2 monitoring, performance tuning, automation scripting, SQL replication, and database troubleshooting; cloud experience is a plus.
