Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

Job Description: Seeking a highly skilled Functional cum Automation QA Engineer to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies. In this role, you will bridge the gap between manual precision and automated efficiency using Selenium and Perfecto. As a critical link in our delivery pipeline, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and drive testing alignment across an onshore/offshore delivery model.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Strategy & Execution: Define, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts for complex software applications.
• Automation Engineering: Build and maintain scalable, robust test automation frameworks from scratch using Selenium WebDriver
• Mobile & Cloud Testing: Utilize Perfecto Mobile (or similar cloud testing platforms) to execute cross-browser and cross-device automated testing.
• Hybrid Testing Execution: Balance manual functional testing with automation, selecting the optimal approach based on risk, timeline, and feature maturity.
• Delivery Model Coordination: Act as a key coordinator in an onshore/offshore model, assigning tasks, reviewing offshore deliverables, and ensuring seamless 24-hour test execution cycles.
• Stakeholder Management: Partner directly with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Development Leads to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and communicate QA risks.
• Defect Management: Identify, isolate, log, and track defects through their entire lifecycle, providing detailed root-cause analysis to the development team.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Technical Skills

• Core Automation: 4+ years of hands-on experience developing test automation frameworks using Selenium (WebDriver, Grid).
• Cloud/Mobile Testing: Proven experience utilizing Perfecto for mobile device testing and cloud-based cross-browser execution.
• Functional Expertise: Strong background in manual functional testing, regression testing, and exploratory testing methodologies.
• API Testing: Proficient in testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured.
• CI/CD Integration: Experience integrating automated test suites into DevOps pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps).
• Version Control: Solid understanding of Git or SVN.

Professional & Soft Skills:

• Onshore/Offshore Experience: Demonstrated success working in a globally distributed team structure, managing handovers and time-zone differences.
• Stakeholder Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present QA metrics and technical risks clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Agile Mindset: Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, sprint ceremonies, and continuous testing principles.
