Test Lead

Iris's client, one of the Top 5 Bank in Canada is looking to hire Test Manager / Test Lead for a long-term contract opportunity.

Title: Test Manager / Test Lead

Location: Toronto, ON (hybrid 3 days onsite/Week)

Key Responsibilities

• The ideal candidate will lead testing activities while remaining actively involved in test execution, defect management, reporting, and process improvement.
• Lead and execute functional testing activities across Project RISE.
• Implement front-loaded testing to identify defects early in the development lifecycle.
• Develop test strategies, test plans, test cases, and execution schedules.
• Utilize Jira for test management, defect tracking, and reporting.
• Leverage Power BI to develop testing dashboards and track quality metrics.
• Identify opportunities for testing process improvement and automation.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, development teams, and the Test Management Office (TMO).
• Support integration testing, regression testing, and UAT.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience as a Test Manager, Test Lead, or Senior QA Lead.
• Expertise in functional testing, test execution, and defect management.
• Strong Jira knowledge and Power BI experience.
• Experience implementing testing process improvements.
• Knowledge of Wealth Management and financial products, including stocks, bonds, equities, and investment-related workflows.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting large-scale Financial Services transformation programs preferred.
