Original job description

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada

ISCT is a global organization of clinicians, scientists, regulators, technologists and industry partners driving the clinical translation of scientific research to deliver innovative cell and gene therapies to patients. Headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, ISCT global head office facilitates the interaction between academia, regulators, and the biotech/pharma sector to enable the translation of research into safe and effective therapies for patients globally.

The ISCT team is committed to the organization’s vision to be the global leader in cell and gene therapy, the fastest growing scientific and innovative medical field today. If you are a driven and ambitious individual who wants to make a difference by supporting the brightest minds in the advanced therapies field, we want to hear from you.

Position Overview

The Scientific Education Program Administrator reports to the Manager, Scientific & Education Programs and is responsible for the strategic coordination, project management, and successful delivery of ISCT's Scientific Pillar initiatives. The role serves as a key liaison for ISCT's scientific committees, ensuring committee initiatives, projects, and deliverables are effectively planned, executed, and aligned with the Society's strategic priorities, mission, and organizational goals. Working closely with the Director, Science, Regulatory & External Affairs, the position supports the Chief Scientific Officer and Scientific Leadership Committee in advancing the Society's scientific agenda, strengthening ISCT's influence across the sector, and maximizing value and impact for members.

The selected candidate will lead the coordination and execution of committee-driven initiatives and cross-functional projects that support ISCT's scientific priorities. This includes supporting the development and delivery of the ISCT Annual Meeting Roundtable Program in collaboration with the Manager, Scientific & Education Programs and Head Office liaisons, as well as overseeing Scientific Pillar events, including the annual Scientific Signature Series and other educational programs. The role is responsible for managing project timelines, stakeholder engagement, and committee deliverables, ensuring initiatives are completed successfully, achieve intended outcomes, and contribute to advancing the Society's mission, strategic objectives, and leadership within the cell and gene therapy sector.

As Scientific Education Program Administrator will regularly communicate with external and ISCT internal stakeholders, the selected candidate is expected to have excellent communication skills and to operate with the professionalism required when working with global key opinion leaders. To succeed in this role, the candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, have excellent attention to detail and time-management skills, and be resourceful in pursuit of objectives.

Salary band: $55,000-63,000 depending on relevant experience.

This position will be located at ISCT Head Office in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. Candidates must be able to legally work full time in Canada (Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, work permit, etc.). This is an opportunity to work on a high performance team in a business-oriented, creative and dynamic office environment.
