6-month, hybrid contract, downtown Toronto
We're currently seeking an experienced Application Architect for a 6-month contract opportunity with a Toronto-based client. This role requires a strong blend of architecture expertise and hands-on development experience, with the ability to guide complex technical solutions from design through delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own application architecture and solution designs that are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with enterprise standards.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, including code reviews, prototyping, troubleshooting, and mentoring development teams.
- Translate business and technical requirements into application designs, integration patterns, technical specifications, and implementation strategies.
- Partner closely with Delivery Managers, Developers, QA teams, Infrastructure, Security, Vendors, and other Architecture teams throughout project delivery.
- Support solutions through design, development, testing, deployment, and production readiness.
- Proactively identify and resolve architectural and technical challenges that may impact delivery timelines or solution quality.
What We're Looking For: - Proven experience as an Application Architect within complex enterprise environments.
- Strong software development background with the ability to remain hands-on when needed.
- Experience designing scalable, integrated applications and services.
- Strong understanding of system integration, application security, and modern architecture patterns.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work across technical and business teams to drive successful outcomes.
