Original job description

isgSearch is a leading North American recruitment firm specializing in finding top permanent and contract talent in IT, Finance, Accounting, and Engineering. With 20 years of deep industry experience, we understand what it means to provide clients and candidates with an exceptional staffing experience. Known for direct, targeted recruitment, we connect qualified, high-performing talent with the most in-demand roles in the shortest timeline possible.

We are searching for a sales professional who lives for the thrill of the chase. If you're looking to build a long-term career in staffing sales, this is where it starts.

At our core, we're a driven, high-performing team that thrives on collaboration, competition, and continuous growth. We're not just keeping pace with the market - we're looking to disrupt it. You'll be the engine at the top of our funnel, backed by a team that adapts fast, supports each other, and celebrates big wins together.

And the best part? There's a clear pathway to Account Executive. Our top-performing BDRs have the opportunity to move into an Account Executive role - owning their own desk and book of business.

What you'll do

Connect with decision-makers. Cold calling is the heart of this role. You'll spend the majority of your day on the phone, connecting with hiring managers and decision-makers across IT, Finance, Accounting, and Engineering.
Generate qualified leads by researching target accounts, identifying hiring signals, and uncovering new opportunities.
Book meetings for our Account Executives with qualified prospects and new client opportunities.
Own the top of the funnel - leverage our tools, data, and your hustle to drive outreach through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and follow-ups.
Track your activity and keep our CRM accurate and up to date so every lead is accounted for.
Collaborate with our sales and delivery teams to hand off opportunities smoothly and ensure an exceptional client experience from the very first touchpoint.
Contribute insights and market intelligence from your conversations that help shape isgSearch's business strategy.

Who you are

You are fearless on the phone - you thrive on cold calling and see every "no" as one step closer to a "yes."
You are activity-driven and motivated by results - you know that high volume and consistent effort lead to booked meetings.
You are resilient and self-aware - you understand that great sales come with ups and downs, and you're always learning, adjusting, and pushing forward.
You are coachable and hungry to grow - you want to learn the full sales cycle and earn your seat as an Account Executive.
You are creative and idea-driven, always looking for new ways to connect with prospects, open doors, and stand out in a competitive market.
You are competitive by nature yet collaborative at heart - you love being part of a team that wins together!

Must-haves

1+ year of sales experience in a business development, inside sales, or similar outbound-focused role.
Staffing industry experience is a strong asset - prior experience selling staffing or recruitment services in the Canadian market is highly preferred.
Proven confidence with cold calling and high-volume outbound outreach.
A track record of generating leads and booking meetings against activity and pipeline targets.
Excellent communication skills - clear, confident, and professional on the phone and in writing.
Ability to work effectively in a flexible hybrid environment.
A willingness to learn, adapt, and thrive in a fun, supportive, and fast-moving team culture.

Our commitment to you

A clear career pathway to Account Executive
Industry-leading compensation and performance-based incentives
Robust training and mentoring programs to supercharge your career forward
State-of-the-art technology, infrastructure and always the support of your team
Access and exposure to the best recruitment and marketing tools in the industry
Financial stability and liquidity to manage a large and diverse contractor base

The hiring process

Stage 1: Join a video call with our Talent Acquisition Manager.
Stage 2: Join a video call with VP Sales.
Stage 3: Come into the office for an in-person chat with our team.
Stage 4: Welcome to isgSearch!

Our values

We are a diverse group of unique individuals who share a series of common values with everyone who works with us and for us:

Collaborate: We are one team, working together for one common purpose - to be the only choice in people. Whether in sales, recruitment, marketing or administration, we are a collective, unified in our mission.
Own it: Big dreams are messy. They can be clumsy. That's ok. We're all going to make mistakes along the way. Be proud of them and take ownership of what you do at every step because we support each other daily.
Disrupt: We're not here to follow how things have been done for the last century. We're here to forge a new path, designing how other companies will do them for the next century. We make the rules because the status quo isn't good enough.
Evolve: We are never stuck. If there is a better way to do something - even just once - we adapt, try it, measure it, and adapt again if we have to. We evolve with technology, the world, and above all, our clients' and candidates' needs.
Serve: All our other values mean nothing without our strong commitment to serve our clients and our candidates better than anyone. We talk to them more often to understand their goals and objectives. We do all we can to do more for them.

This role is for a new vacancy and we are looking to fill this role immediately. isgSearch does not use AI in any stage of the hiring process.
